I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist who blends natural and conventional medicines to treat complex conditions related to digestive health, hormonal health, healthy aging, environmental health, and cancer.

I discovered the power of integrating natural medicine with conventional medicine as a patient BEFORE becoming a doctor.

As someone born with digestive issues, I found that conventional medicine was helpful in managing some of my symptoms. But through natural medicine, I began to appreciate the connections between my own health and diet, stress, sleep, and other lifestyle factors. Most importantly, I became empowered to take my health into my own hands and use gentle, natural, effective tools that could build health rather than just suppress disease.

The latest research on gastrointestinal disease supports the traditional view that gut health affects the whole body. Many diseases outside the digestive tract are influenced by the digestive tract, and many actually originate in the gut. That’s why I’m passionate about helping people with Integrative Gastroenterology as a part of the team at modrn med – I can guide patients back to health through our Network of Care and cutting edge therapies.

I find that most of my patients are well educated on their conditions and treatment options and are looking for someone with the highest level of expertise to guide and refine what they are doing to make sure their path back to health is as safe and effective as possible. Diet, lifestyle, nutritional supplements, herbal medicine, and medication can all play valuable roles in that journey so long as you have an expert to guide you. I am transparent with the level of evidence behind my medical recommendations, and I help patients gather all the information they need to make an informed decision – empowering them to become CEO of their own health.

Together, we work to create a holistic picture that shows us the unique path that led to your current state of disease, and how to navigate a unique path back to health and wellness, as well. Sometimes we have to sort through which root causes we have power to change and which ones might be better served by acceptance and self-love.

This can be especially true when I support patients with Integrative Oncology. Almost all of us will have our lives touched by cancer, either our own diagnosis or someone we love. The majority of people will choose to use some type of natural medicine to complement their conventional oncology care in the hopes of reducing side effects and improving outcomes.

We have good evidence that natural medicine can be helpful in the right situation and good evidence that it can be harmful in the wrong situation – making an expert essential.

We all want and deserve our best chance at restoring health and joy. I will help you integrate the best of conventional and natural medicines in pursuit of your optimal health.
